Macadamia Property Services (Pty) Ltd. (“MacProps”) was formed with the specific intent of creating stable retirement village environments, through the provision of an efficient service for operations management and administration. Wholly owned by Macholdings (Pty) Ltd. and with a very limited and lean approach to overhead structures, MacProps has, since inception strategically reinvested all profits into researching and understanding the complex retirement industry and how best to add value to residential communities of older persons. Amongst other interventions, MacProps seeks to reduce the cost of care services through shared administration and other head-office functions. This approach, coupled with the formation of a Non-Profit company to delivery Care services (MacCare NPC) and the establishment of a Non-Profit Public Benefit Organisation to own and care for the buildings which Care services are based in (Macadamia Foundation Trust PBO), has led to significant reduction in losses for the Care entities in several villages and more efficient management of all outsourced services to the estates where MacProps operates. For Retirement villages that make the tactical choice to make use of the services of MacProps, the option of Care services from MacCare NPC is available. In such villages, residents have the comfort and reassurance of knowing that the Care services are not profit-driven, but rather focus on the quality of care and staff welfare. MacProps has established the following entities in pursuit of it’s focused endeavors: a. Laundry Service - A CSI project “Marothi Cleaning and Laundry Services” was established and funded and is today a successful Empowerment Service Provider. b. MacProps Sales Agency - Securing the objective of well-informed and qualified newcomers to the village, through ensuring that our Administrators are correctly trained and qualified, to enable in-house re-Sales Facilitation. MacProps believes that its unique value proposition to independent retirement villages is unmatched in South Africa and is grateful to already have received requests for consideration by several villages in the Western Cape.
